I have built customized solutions for Swedish companies and organizations since 1998. This website was originally designed to market Peter Kalmström as a custom solutions developer. Due to the great interest in my solutions, I started to build products of the solutions. Thus the focus of the website have changed to be more of a web commerce initiative than a consultancy marketing initiative. I now put equal focus on developing custom solutions, and use the experience and solutions, to build generalized products.

The benefits of buying a customized solution for your company are many. Here is a list of the most important:

You decide – no one else gets to decide what how you should run your business. I take it for granted that you know best how to run your business. I will certainly point out the information consequences of your choices, but you decide.
You are special – I believe that you and your business are special and should be treated as such. Standardized systems are always forced to conform to the lowest common denominator in terms of tools used, knowledge taken for granted and integrations.
A standardized system cannot take into account the data you already have. It is almost always builds it\’s own data store. You probably already have a user, customer, product or competitor database in some kind of system today. A customized system can use the data you already have and make the most of it.
The personal touch – when buying a customized system from me you get my experience and personal commitment to solving your problem. When you buy a standardized system you are always just one in a bunch of other customers 🙂 That might not be so bad, but it is not personal. For me, building solutions is not just business – it\’s personal.
You own it – a custom solution is yours. You can do whatever you want with it (even resell it) You can have any number of users on the system and if you want to you could do further customizations yourself. Of curse you don\’t pay any license fees to yourself. You can even commission my services to build you a solution that you can market for yourself.
It might just be cheaper. When calculating the cost and worth of a software solution it is very important to take into account the alternative costs. What does it cost your organization that people act without the proper information, in the wrong way, rebuild the wheel etc? So even though the initial expense of building a customized solution is usually quite high it might very well be the most economical for your organization over time.
